They may not be related too. It is more common for conjunctivitis to cause eye pain, itching and photo phobia or difficulty in seeing light. If eye drops that are anti bacterial do not heal it fast, you may have a sinus infection or even a viral type infection that can cause both. A suggested, that should be evaluated.
