In brief: No

An anesthesiologist has 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, at least 4 years of residency training and then may have 1-2 years of fellowship.
A crna is a nurse who goes to nuse anesthetist school. They ususally depending on state law, have to be under the supervision of an md (may not be an anesthesiologyist). Md/do has much more advanced training over the crna.
