Yesterday I saw shadows that I thought were trying to kill me, is this a panic attack or something bigger?

In brief: Maybe more

Usually, seeing things or hallucinating is not consistent with a panic attack.
There can be several conditions, both physical and mental which can cause hallucinations. I would try and see a physician for evaluation and good luck.
