In brief: Yes you can

If you mean a healthy lifestyle with sufficient sleep, regular exercise and stretching, a healthy diet / vit D, social interactions- yes - in fact, this is recommended for everyone.
MS should not interfere with any of these lifestyle choices.

In brief: Caregiver stress

Caregivers give so much that they often forget to care for themselves.
In addition to eating healthy foods and exercising regularly, caregivers should also devote time for their own "pleasure-producing" activities. Don't give up your hobbies and social activities as these are important for your personal wellbeing. Also, seeking a daycare provider for time off for yourself is also important.

In brief: Can work

Make certain he is being treated with a potent agent such as Tysabri (natalizumab) or Gilenya to optimize outcomes.
You both could benefit from a low salt, low fat diet, and regular aerobic exercise. Marital counseling can resolve some of the stress. Vitamin D supplementation for both of you, and perhaps one B-100 complex daily. Now you are using interventions which can not only help MS, but enhance health.
