There have been some studies that show an increased predisposition to mood disorders in offspring of depressed women.
It is difficult to separate the influence of "nature" (genes) from "nurture" (upbringing). We also do not know much about effects of lower levels of neurotransmitters, etc on the fetus later in life. There are many ways to overcome the risk, however. Ask pediatric or family doctor.
