In brief: Minimal
The usual dose for Nasonex (mometasone) is 2 sprays each nostril once a day if your are over 12 years old and 1 spray each nostril once a day for kids 2 years old to 11 years old.
This is a topical nasal steroid which is very safe. The most common side effects is nose bleeds and this can be minimized by proper nasal spray technique.
