In brief: Support system
This really speaks to why having a support system in place is important when providing care for someone.
Being a sole caregiver sometimes leads to taking less care of yourself, and then increases your chance of getting sick. Plan ahead by having a support system in place. If you're already sick look for other resources-ask your church, doctor's office, community agency for help.

In brief: Caregiver
There should always be a backup plan in place.
The choices are many: hire another caregiver from an agency; possible admission to an assisted living facility temporarily; have a family and or friend emergency backup are just a few of the examples that families need to to think about. Working with a social worker would be great.
