It may be beneficial as an antioxidant which may reduce artery inflammation and decrease the risk of athersclerosis. On the other had magnesium and potassium deficiencies may lead to heart dysrhythmias. However these supplements should only be used under a doctors supervision and monitoring of blood levels.

I also would add checking a Co Q 10 level and supplementing with this especially if on statin drugs which actually lower these levels and put you at risk for arrhythmias.
