What is the difference between LDL and hdl? What is good and bad for you?

HDL is Good. Hdl or high density lipoprotein and LDL or low density lipoprotein are particles that are important in cholesterol metabolism. Hdl is the "good" particle that pulls cholesterol out of the arterial wall. Ldl is the "bad" particle particularly when it is "dense" or cholesterol laden that allow cholesterol transportation and deposition into the artery wall accelerating atherosclerosis.
HDL good, LDL bad. Hdl and LDL refer to types of cholesterol ... Higher HDL levels are good, while high LDL levels are bad.
