How much alcohol could a person consume over a period of time that they would have seizures from cold turkey?

In brief: Hard to tell...
One would have to consume copious amounts of alcohol to achieve this; or one may actually have epilepsy and the alcohol is simply lowering the seizure threshhold; please get with your physician and explore this; you may even need to see a neurologist to undergo some diagnostic testing figure out what is going on.

In brief: Not sure what this
Involves, as very copious amounts of alcohol can be deadly, and an individual who consistently drinks large amounts daily is indeed at risk for withdrawal with seizures ushering in dt's.
Sudden cessation of chronic alcohol intake results in withdrawal between 6 and 96 hrs. If this is in your future, contact aa and get help.

In brief: What one person...
...Considers alot another thinks of as not much.
Colleagues have suggested quantities. But here is the concern: the amount of alcohol that a high school student consumes at a heavy drinking party is often enough to cause alcohol poisoning which can be fatal. This can occur without seizures being an issue during or after.

In brief: A lot
In general, serious alcohol withdrawal requires drinking about a half -pint of distilled spirits per day (40% alcohol), or a six pack of beer, or a liter of wine.
Seizures generally require twice that amount, with sudden cessation. However, women, older people and smaller people may require less alcohol, and individuals who have other kinds of seizures may require less. Cold turkey is dangerous.
