What will happen if you take darvocet or lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and subutex?

In brief: See below

If on more than twelve mg of suboxone or subutex, the other opioids will be blocked completely.
At lower levels of suboxone/subutex, they will be reduced in effectiveness.

In brief: Depends on dose

Larger doses of subutex essentially block the effects of other opiates, but larger doses of the other opiates can overcome that block to some extent.
However, if you are physically dependent on Propoxyphene or hydrocodone (active drugs in darvocet and lorcet), taking subutex could put you into opiate withdrawal. If its the other way around, the subutex would block the other opiates.

In brief: Additive effects

Darvocet is no longer available.
Lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is a narcotic, which can have additive effect with subutex. It may cause drowsiness, respiratory depression, and put you at risk for withdrawal.
