Firstly, health effects of alcohol are far less than the benefits of exercise, but even these relatively modest effects are lost with more than 2 drinks per day in men, and 1 drink per day in women or those over 60.
There is evidence that the same benefits of red wine can be gained with red grape juice. A standard drink consists of 5 oz. Table wine (10%), 12 oz beer (6%) or 1 1/2 oz liquor(40%).
