If you have calf pain you have to make sure you don't have a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by getting an venous ultrasound.
Otherwise, swelling is very common and below knee compression stockings (15-30 mmhg pressure) will do the trick. Leg elevation also helps in the evenings. It is also common to develop varicose veins during pregnancy and swelling can be associated with these.
