Cmemical treatment . Basically treatment of disease with chemical agents. Nowadays chemotherapy most commonly refers to drugs/medications/cmemicals used to treat various forms of cancer. However also applies to entire array treatments using above agents i.E antibiotics to treat or prevent infections, sythetic hormones for endocrine disorders or medications to conrol or prevent metabolic disorders.
Cancer drugs. Even though strictly speaking all drug treatments are chemo-therapies, the term is generally applied to drugs utilized in cancer treatment. Traditional chemotherapy drugs have been non specific cytotoxic agents, but more recently the term appears to encompass more targeted agents, including monoclonal antibodies and small oral molecules.
