In brief: Pleurisy

Your description really sounds like you have pleurisy.
Pleurisy is an inflammation of the lining of the lungs after a viral or bacterial infection. It usually responds well to anti inflammatory treatment and time. Occassionally other sources of pain with breathing include fractured ribs and collapse of the lung (known as a pneumothorax) or inflammation of the rib cage (costrachondritis).

In brief: Pleuritis

Is a general term for pain when taking a deep breath and can be caused by a number of things, including infections and inflammation.
You should probably see your doctor about this to make sure it is not something serious. Anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen and naproxyn help with pleurisy. Costochondritis and trauma can also cause localised pain.
