In brief: Possibly

It has a higher chance of saving your life than hurting it.
Death rates from motor vehicle crashes have dropped significantly because of airbags and other safety improvements in cars. The risk of minor injuries from airbags (abrasions) are worth the benefit of less head injuries and death from mvcs.

i have treated over a dozen upper extremity fractures caused by airbags. several of them were low speed collisions. many of them required opened surgical reduction and plate and screw stabilization. be careful...

In brief: Yes

Although commonly life-saving, there are injuries that can occur from air-bag deployment.
One of the most common reported injuries are injuries to the eyes, like cornea abrasion (scratching).
