If the dog triggers their allergies, and therefore their asthma can be deadly. It depends on how allergic they are, and how bad their asthma is. There are some dogs that are less allergenic, like poodles, but you would need to discuss getting a dog very thoroughly with your physician. Basically any animal with fur can cause an allergic reaction, and trigger asthma.
