In brief: No simple answer
There is no simple gene transmission in this disorder it's rather multifactorial.
But some personality traits are inherited that predispose a person to it. There usually is a family history of somatoform disorder like hypochondriasis or OCD like illness or one or other anxiety disorder. Environment and family expectations play role too.

In brief: Good question.
Certain inherited conditions may predispose to body dysmorphism, but inheriting them doesn't ascertain the inheritance of that particular symptom. Body dysmorphism is a symptom rather than a sign of a disease.
