If bulimia is caught in its early stages do you still need to seek out professional help?

In brief: Yes
Bulimia can be a very serious problem and like most other things, the longer it goes on the more difficult it is to treat.
So even if you have an early stage, it is unlikely to just go away. Getting help early before the problem becomes established is very important.

It is very common for the bulimic individual to feel "shame" or hide this disorder more than anorexia.

In brief: What do U mean?
Do u mean recognizing that what u r doing is wrong? We seek professional help , when realise that we have a problem and we need help with it.
