In brief: Yes
Blue light has been found to have a beneficial effect.
Additionally, it can be used to activate a photodynamic drug called levulan. This is a potent anti-acne treatment.

In brief: Possibly
If light therapy refers to UV light therapy it might be somewhat beneficial but i would be very careful with the amount exposed to your skin so as not to dry or damage your skin.
Remember too much UV light could make you more prone to skin cancer down the road. Moral of the story is be very careful in the use of any UV or tanning lamps?
