In brief: Several signs
Fatigue, yellow eyes, abdominal pain, and weight loss are a few warning signs.
Get a blood test to set your mind at ease.

In brief: Not necessarily
Autoimmune hepatitis does not always have symptoms.
Abnormal liver tests in standard bloodwork may be the first indication that something is wrong. Sometimes it can present as jaundice and malaise over a short period of time. Sometimes it is not known until cirrhosis and liver failure have occurred, in which case there are a number of symptoms including swelling, jaundice (yellow skin), other.
