PTCA. Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, basically an intervention through the arteries of the groin or wrist, to open up a blockage that occurs in the blood vessels of the heart.
Angioplasty. Percutaneous tranluminal coronary angioplasty. Through the skin they place a catheter with a balloon and pass it up yo a narrowed portion of a coronary artery. The balloon is inflated , and it stretches out the narrowed area in the artery.
