Hi! I have trouble differentiating the cardiogenic shock and the heart failure; is it right to see the heart failure as a pre-shock state?

No no no. shock is when organs are shutting down with secondary consequences of inflammation generally heart output is quite low. Heart failure is just not enough circulation (implied to be due to not enough pumping effective action) and output can be normal, slightly low, even elevated if the blood doesn't get to organs. You can get shock out of the blue (heart attack, bullet, poison) from being totally ok. Read more...

Do you see pts who have neurological deficits due to heart failure?

So, bottom line to your question is YES....I see pts. with Neuro deficits and CHF. Read more...
