In brief: Schizophrenia

It is possible that this stress caused her to become paranoid without necessarily being schizophrenia, especially if there has been no history of this disorder. She really needs to consult with a mental health professional before this state becomes too established.
Ask your doctor for a referral. I wish you and she the best.

In brief: Helping Her Get Help

Paranoia ; delusions may be symptoms of medical conditions.
It's vital 4your sister 2get 2 pcp ; 2 psychiatrist 4 assessment. She may not wish 2do this though, so speak w/her gently ; calmly abt getting checked out ; going w/her. Don't say anything 2her about paranoia, delusions. Instead focus on her stress- the physical ; emotional toll it's taking. But call 911 if u fear 4her or others' safety.

In brief: Certainly

Certainly can't diagnose her via internet.
However, sometimes a person can develop a paranoid delusional disorder. I really hope that your sister is willing to be seen by a psychiatrist. Clearly, this is causing her great emotional pain and she needs professional assistance.
