Iodine tablets only help when there is radioctive iodine in the environment, like what happened in JAPAN. In flying you are losing the atmospheres protection from cosmic rays. Iodine does not help this. Remember pilots are up there alot more than you and they are not keeling over dead with exposure or cancer So don't worry about the few flights you are taking.
