Should a jammed finger still be stiff and sore at the knuckle after a month? Knuckle is stiff and sore and cannot make a fist. Very painful. Had x-rays and no broken bones. Could this be a ligament or tendon issue? Also have trouble gripping and apply

In brief: You

You could have a tenosynovitis and not necesarily , a splint might be enough to have your body heal it.
You need to be evaluated to consider if that is the diagnosis and the benefits of a lical injection if tenosinovitis or trigger finger is the diagnosis , other diagnosis could be considered like d quervain , but i don t have enough info to be able to extend on the answer.
