With my last baby I had a midline episiotomy, but still tore badly. What are the chances of a tear again?

In brief: Possible

If you had a previous episiotomy or previous tear it is certainly possible to have a laceration happen again but not a guarantee that it will.
I find many patients on their second and third deliveries will have no tears at all. I do not cut routine episiotomies either.
