In brief: Lumpy +/- Tenderness

Many women have fibrocystic breast changes (fcc).
This simply means that there are some lumpy areas in the breasts. Some of these lumps are benign cysts which can bigger or smaller depending on the hormones in the menstrual cycle. Fcc does not mean that you have an increased chance of breast cancer. However, you may need breast ultrasounds in addition to mammograms for screening the lumpy areas.
