What can I take for mood changes due to my menstrual cycle? I am 45 and have never really had any mood changes but within this past year its changed. I become very emotional.

In brief: Dysphoria

Dysphoria (mood changes) with menstruation or peri-menopause can be very distressing.
Some gynecologists give hormonal preparations to women to ease their symptoms. There are some studies that show benefit of neurological type medications such as Neurontin (gabapentin) or other preparations. Your primary care doctor or gynecologist will be able to advise you on treatment for this.
