Are genital warts and HPV the same thing? If I have some small bumps around my genitals, does that mean I have hpv? How can I tell if it's genital warts or just a rash? .

Yes/maybe/ hard to. All genital warts are due to one of at least 4 strains of HPV. They can start out as small blebs and grow to branch like cauliflower clusters over time. The process takes weeks to months. If they are just small bumps now only a trip to the doc could sort this out.
Hello. . Hello. Human papilloma virus (hpv) can lead to venereal warts or condylomata acuminate. Not everyone with hpv will develop a wart. I can't diagnose your lesions, but a doctor should be able to make a diagnosis through history, examination and any indicated laboratory tests.

Warts . Warts are caused by hpv (human papilloma virus) and can be spread to other people or to other areas of the body. Warts on the hand are a "different subtype" of hpv compared to genital warts. Typically they don't spread from your hands to other areas of your body but it can happen. For example, occasionally, i will have a patient have warts on their hand and one develops on their neck or lip, but this is not common. Treatment options are discussed at the link below. I hope that helps! Read more...

If a man has had genital warts removed from his penis does that mean that he is totally cured of the hpv?

No. Could be, but most likely he can have hpv in the skin and it has not formed a wart yet so he may or may not get future warts. Read more...
Maybe. Sometimes, once warts are removed, the body identifies other infected cells and finishes the job. Unfortunately, it is a wait and see. Even if you never see another wart develop, you may still have cells infected with hpv. (there are many strains, not all produce warts.) i would still recommend that you continue to watch for warts or other changes associated with hpv. Read more...

Me and my girlfriend have the HPV virus. She's had surgery to cut away the pre-cancerous cells, and I had genital warts. What does this mean for us?

Keep tabs on it. I'm glad she had the premalignant cells detected and that they will be removed. You can have those nasty warts lasered off or removed by other means. The fact that the two of you have one another and are in a loving relationship is far more of a "plus" than the nuisance of having nasty HPV strains on board. I wish you both the best and hope that your love lasts for a lifetime of happiness. Read more...

My biopsy results were abnormal. The dr said I had condyloma. Does this mean I have low risk hpv? What is the treatment? And will I get genital warts?

Not necessarily. If you are referring to a cervical biopsy, you have cervical hpv. Most condyloma are low risk hpv, but it is possible to be high risk type. Mild dysplasia requires no treatment. 80% of this will clear spontaneously. Generally cervical hpv does not cause external or vulvar warts/condyloma. Read more...

If I apply Acv with mother in it to my penis and nothing turn white does that mean no genital warts? I don't have swollen lymph does that mean no hpv?

Useless test. I don't understand "Acv with mother". However, tests to whiten HPV infected tissues, e.g. with vinegar, are pretty much useless. Even experienced doctors have trouble understanding results. Whether or not you have enlarged lymph nodes means nothing; HPV doesn't cause abnormal nodes. If you think you might have penile warts, stop trying to self diagnose and see a doctor. Read more...
