In brief: Yes

A good diet is so important to both mother and baby.
Check with your care giver right away if there are nutritional concerns.

In brief: Absolutely

Please do not misunderstand: a pregnant mother with anorexia loves her baby as much as any mother and is not trying to hurt the baby.
But unless the mother is able to eat enough to maintain an average weight gain during pregnancy, the baby can suffer. Even after birth, low weight can stop breast milk and later make it hard for the mother to judge appropriate food intake for her child. Get help!
