Will I have pain after Asian eyelid surgery? I know any surgery causes some pain, but Asian eyelid surgery sounds like a really small cut. Does that mean the pain will be "small" too? Will tylenol (acetaminophen) or Aleve be enough to treat it? .

In . In most instances, the pain after an asian eyelid procedure is well tolerated with minimal requirements for narcotic analgesics which are typically required for the first night only, if at all.
There . There is minimal pain following asian eyelid surgery. Most of my patients take tylenol, (acetaminophen) but are given a prescription for a narcotic if they need it.
Asian blepharoplasty. After upper eyelid surgery, there is usually minimal pain. patients report stinging for several hours and this is relieved with cool compresses. Additional procedures may require more analgesia. Taking NSAIDS may cause bleeding so tylenol (acetaminophen) is a better option.
Significant . Significant pain after any blepharoplasty surgery is rare. Most patients do very well with tylenol (acetaminophen). You want to avoid blood thinners like Ibuprofen and aspirin.
