Can I take Advil cold and sinus with Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm I have a cold: sneezing, sore throat, congestion, low fever, cough and just don't feel good.
According. According to drugs. Com, there are no reported interactions for these two medications. If you have any additional questions about what medications to take or if your symptoms are worsening, give your doctor a call. Good luck!
Better alternatives. Get a throat swab to detect strep throat requiring antibiotics. Advil Cold and Sinus is ibuprofen 200 mg and pseudoephedrine 30 mg. Generic is cheaper, and take decongestant only when symptomatic. Musinex is high-priced guaifenesin. The AMA Drug Evaluations, said it works "just as well as a placebo". A good mucolytic and antioxidant is otc NAC (N-acetylcysteine), the active drug in Mucomist,
Is it safe to take Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm for soar throat and chest congestion if I've been taking levofloxacin?
Yes! Just be sure to follow the dosing directions on the box.
YES. An excellent combination and very effective.
I have had a sinus congestion problem for almost 2 weeks. Been using Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm. No runny nose. Now extreme dry mouth the last two days. Infection?
Mouth-breathing. Since Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm does nothing on the nasal congestion, your dry mouth is likely from mouth-breathing. Try a nasal decongestant and see if this may help (mucinex (guaifenesin) d?). If not, see your doctor to make sure that you don't have a sinus infection.
Mouth breathing. Most likely that your dry mouth is from the mouth breathing. If symptoms have been around for 2 weeks then it is worthwhile to see your doctor to see whether you have a sinus infection.
Been sick for a week, coughing, congestion, sneezing and sore throat, and today I discovered I might have a cold sore...does that always mean herpes?
Maybe oral herpes. Cold sore and oral herpes are the same thing. That doesn't necessarily mean the sore is herpes, but it certainly could be. Most people with oral herpes have had it for years, often without symptoms, and outbreaks can be triggered by other infections (hence the names cold sore and fever blister). I suggest immediate exam and testing of the sore for HSV1. If positive, you'll know for sure.
Cold/flu. Greetings. Yes, a cold or fl can indeed cause all those symptoms you questioned. Allergy could be Another cause.
