My 24 year old daughter is entering a alcohol treatment center this monday. They do not have a bed and this is their best estima tion of when one will be available. She experiences significant withdrawl symtoms when she abstains from alcohol completely.Sh

In brief: Don't

Don't know the specifics of "significant withdrawal symptoms" that you mention (such as seizure, visual hallucinations).
From a safety perspective she would best be seen by a doctor (on this weekend the emergency room for that matter) to cater temporary treatment to your daughter given the circumstances for now. There is always the risk of a breakthrough seizure or other serious withdrawals from alcohol with or without the continued use of alcohol or xanax (alprazolam)-like medications because the are a couple of things to consider too (such as sleep problems, amount of alcohol used, duration of alcohol misuse) plus i wouldn't detox someone on xanax (alprazolam) being that it is a very short acting sedative. In essence, err on the side of safety when the risk is great.

In brief: This

This needs to be addressed with your daughter's doctor. Some alcohol treatment centers provide both detoxification and rehabilitation.
Many alcohol treatment centers only provide rehabilitation. It is important to know if you daugther needs to be detoxified before she goes into treatment on monday. If she does need detoxification prior to rehab, there is a good chance that it will need to be done at a hospital as an inpatient. Some doctors work with outpatient detoxification protocols.
