Other reasons include irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, kidney stones, gallbladder problems, pancreatitis, intestinal malrotation, celiac sprue. I would go back to your gastroenterologist or seek a second opinion to determine the causes. Each would require different tests. At your age of 16, it is probably more functional than serious, but only the tests will tell.
