Both mean the same thing: that there is a small amount of blood in your urine.
This can be due to urinary tract infection, kidney stones, contamination of the sample by menstrual blood, or--in a worst-case scenario--a tumor. If there is no sign of infection (they will probably check for bacteria), then your doctor will probably order some additional tests to look for stones. If there are none, he or she may get a ct scan with xray dye to be sure there is no evidence of a tumor.
