Is there any medication to get rid of apathy caused by an ssri like prozac (fluoxetine)? and how likely is it to get rid of it, thanks

Consider switch. In general it is not wise to add another medication to treat a side effect, unless the original medication is doing a stellar job in every way except for the single side effect. After all, you might have a side effect with the added one, & then you need another for it & so on. There are many other SSRIs & other medications similar that may be effective without apathy instead of Prozac (fluoxetine). Good luck! Read more...

I would like Prozac (fluoxetine) not for depression but to lower my sexdrive. Could I lie to my dr. And get some?

Why lie? It is an off label but legitimate use for prozac (fluoxetine). Please be very straightforward with your physician and i think you will be rewarded with good results. Best wishes. Read more...
