How can I tell if my baby is having pulmonary hypertension?

Must see a doctor. Children or infants can usually be diagnosed with pulmonary HTN with the help of echocardiography though a heart catheterization is required to confirm the diagnosis. These tests are done when there is clinical suspicion on the part of the treating physicians.
Hard. It can be very hard to tell as infants--and children--do not often have outward symptoms. Some symptoms include breathlessness, difficulty eating, fainting, and fatigue among many others. If you are concerned, please see your child's doctor to discuss your specific issues.
PH in Baby. You should check with your baby's physician. Echocardiogram and heart catheterization are typical methods to make a diagnosis.
