Does playing violent videogames as a young child cause problems down the road?

In brief: Depends
In a normally oriented child, video violence is just a game.
Very young children will mimic the action. If an older child is mimicking, you need to pay attention to the bechavioral signs. Always be fully aware of your children's actions; even in your home.

In brief: Maybe
There are certainly studies that suggest high usage of tv and video games, particularly those with high viloent content will be correlated with higher rates of violence, adhd, a host of psych issues and behavior problems and poor social interaction.
But there are likely many more variables than that contributing. Still, in reality children have no business playing violent video games!
