In brief: Pepto-Bismol

Pepto-bismol is categorized as a "class c" drug in pregnancy and should only be taken if specifically instructed to do so by your doctor. Only "class a and class b" medications are safe to take during pregnancy without a doctor's consent.
5 safe things your niece can do for her pregnancy associated nausea are: - ginger - such as ginger tea or ginger ale - saltine crackers - they absorb stomach acid and can help nausea - eat small amounts of food frequently - eating too much food at once can trigger vomiting - avoid odors that make you nauseous - acupressure bands - there is a pressure point on the wrist that can alleviate nausea that an acupressure wrist band can trigger.
