In brief: Not manufactured

People feel that manufactured medicine is somehow corrupted by the profit interest and thus inherently bad for you whereas natural must be incorruptible and good.
In reality, people who sell 'natural ' products make huge profits. Unlike manufactured drugs there is no requirement that natural products work, They're unregulated. NIH has great website that shows which work and which are scams

In brief: Excellent question!

Actual conversation with parent: "what do you recommend for diarrhea?" - me: "rice and bananas.
.." parent: "how about something natural?" -- ultimately, everything starts out natural. If you think that cooking a natural vegetable makes for artificial soup, that's one valid opinion. And anyone who ever dealt with poison ivy can tell you, "natural" and "good" are not synonyms!

In brief: Can mean anything

Natural is generally a marketing term to make one think that something is healthy or wholesome.
However, many times this is not the case.
