In brief: High fever??

Why are you sitting at a computer with a high fever instead of calling your doctor or going to an urgent care or er. Nobody can answer your question without seeing you, examining you and perhaps doing necessary lab tests.
Heavy smokers are more likely to get a variety of infections, especially pneumonia. Drink water! most of the water we get is from our food anyway, but drink more. See a doctor!
