In brief: Subconjunctival heme

Artificial tears and observation are needed.
If recurrent, may need to check blood numbers to rule out blood dyscrasia but they are likely due to dry eye in this case. Blood thinners such as Aspirin can make recurrent subconjunctival hemorrhages more common.

In brief: Recurrent

Recurrent subconjunctival hemorrhages may be related to uncontrolled high blood pressure or taking anti-coagulants like Aspirin or coumadin (warfarin).
In my office, i check the patient's blood pressure and review the medication list.
