How do I deal with back pain after an epidural? What are some solutions for chronic back pain after experiencing an epidural?

ESI & back pain . There might be no relation between the back pain and previous epidural injection. The back pain can be caused by muscle strain, spinal stenosis, ruptured disc, nerve impingement ... The treatment might include physical therapy, exercise, medications, injections.... Please see a pain specialist for evaluation and treatment.
Clarify. Did you have an epidural steroid injection for back pain and you are still having back pain or did you have an epidural for surgery and you are now having back pain? Answer depends on original cause if back pain as well. Maybe repost question to clarify.
Time. Epidurals can cause some back pain/ muscle pain for several weeks after the procedure. This is because the back muscles do not appreciate the needle being passed through them. This resolves in time, though heating pads and motrim can improve the discomfort. Chronic pain from an epidural is not normal and should be evaluated.
