When am i most fertile? Is there an age when women tend to be more fertile? Also, when is the most fertile time of the month, right before your period?

In brief: Maybe

If a woman is cycling regularly, then she will typically ovulate somewhere between days 10-16 (day 1 is the first day of the cycle).
This is the most fertile time. Before the menses is one of the least fertile times. Age has a big impact; fertility declines after 35, and falls rapidly after 38 and more so after 40. If trying >6 mo over 35yrs old, you should see a fertility specialist.

In brief: Younger

Younger women are more fertile.
Women are most fertile from the time soon after their first period (age 11-13) through their early to mid twenties. Fertility then gradually decreases into the 30's and severely in the early 40's. There have been cases of women getting pregnant into the late 40's naturally. The most fertile time of the month is right after ovulation (when the egg is released from the woman's ovary). This occurs in the middle of the cycle, approximately 14-17 days after the last period. If pregnancy doesn't occur, then the next period occurs predictably ~2 weeks after leading to the average 23-28 day menstrual cycle.
