In brief: Symptom relief?

There is no scientific evidence that yoga can affect the signs or course of parkinson's, but the activity like other exercise can assist the pt to cope better and function at a higher level.
Worthwhile to try, but do not expect profound or lasting benefit in absence of medical therapy.

In brief: First

First of all, it certainly will not hurt and should do some good, so i say "go for it.
" parkinson's patients need to keep exercising, and yoga is a great way to do that. It will help with balance and strength. In advancing parkinson's, it will become harder to do many of the tasks, so you have to enter in with reasonable expectations. But you should understand that this is not going to "fix" the disease, only make you better able to function with the disease. However, i cannot find any scientific studies about yoga and parkinson's. There are some questionnaires and testimonials from people, but never an unbiased study to see how much better people do.
