A bed bug can bite anyone and some animals. At night it is attracted to the carbon dioxide that humans exhale as well the warmth emitted by our bodies. It comes out to feed on our blood. However, it is very rare for bed bug bites to transmit pathogens. Their bite does not transmit hiv.
