I am 6 weeks pregnant and small sac gestational?

Not enough info. Unless the exact date of ovulation is known, one ultrasound should not provide a prognosis. Also, the sac in the uterus needs to be confirmed gestational as opposed to an ectopic pregnancy. At a true 6 weeks gestation, the sac should also show a yolk sac, fetal pole and cardiac motion. But your dates may not be accurate so recommend follow up ultrasound to evaluate growth.

I am 6 weeks pregnant. Ultrasound today, yolk sac normal, faint heartbeat. Doctor said gestational sac is small a week behind. Will I miscarry?

Early ultrasound. My guess is that you are going to have a follow up scan as there is no mention of a fetal pole or measurement for dating purposes.? Seeing a heart flicker is a positive sign that should be reassuring. I would simply ask for a follow up exam. Read more...

I am 6 weeks pregnant I had beta hgc in 40 h growing 6000-6300, gestational sac became irregular, 2 days earlier was oval. What can I do? Progesterone?

Nothing, Sadly. We do not have treatments to save a failing pregnancy except in unusual circumstances. Most miscarriages are genetically abnormal - they have the wrong number of chromosomes. Most of the remaining pregnancies are abnormal for other reasons and only about 7% of miscarriages have both normal chromosomes and normal fetal development. Speak with your doc and follow carefully. I am 6 weeks pregnant and an ultrasound showed a gestational sac and yolk sac, but no embryo, does this mean I could still have an ectopic pregnancy?

Very unlikely. I presume the gestational sac and yolk sac are located in the uterus, in this case, the chance of a concomitant tubal pregnancy is extremely small, almost negligible. Hopefully, you do not have any bleeding or cramping, in which case, the ultrasound may be repeated in 7-10 days to determine viability (presence of a fetal pole with heart beat). Best Wishes. I'm 6 weeks pregnant calculated from my LMP and I had an ultrasound today that only showed a gestational sac and that's it. Is this normal?

Could be. At exactly 6 weeks you'd expect to see a GS, a yolk sac, and a fetal pole, about 90% chance of seeing heartbeat. BUT that doe mean exactly 6 weeks, so if your periods are not 100% regular, or if you are somewhere in the 5th week what you saw is likely normal. Be patient until the follow-up, things will become clear quickly - and good wishes. Read more...

6 weeks pregnant no fetal pole on gestational sac through vaginal ultrasound, had brownish spotting for 1 week! Please help thanks!

Still early. Although the possibility of a miscarriage is real, it is also not unusual to not see the fetal pole this early. You should have a much better idea of what is happening in another week or two. Read more...
