What is the medical word for the alcohol preparation used to clean skin before routine phlebotomy?

Isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol). It is also known as rubbing alcohol. It is a wood alcohol so don't drink it will make you blind. [no joke this really can blind you}.
Rubbing alcohol. Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) or isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol).
Chlorhexidrine. Most will use this but there are some other options that are available and are not alcohol based such as hibiclens or technicare.
