In brief: Night time splinting

Wrist splinting at night is most helpful, especially since most with cts complain of their pain at night.
High dose vitamin b6 has always been suggested. For data entry/typing work, make sure elbows are elevated to the level of the hands and supported to take tension off forearms and to allow the wrist to be flat and not cocked up. If this does not help, seek a surgical consultation.

In brief: Splints, surgery

The most common treatments for cts are wrist splints that typically are worn at night , anti inflammatory medications, some advocate steroid injections, and if the symptoms persist, a carpal tunnel release surgery.
Surgery typically has a very good success rate.

In brief: Splints/inject/surge

The best initial treatment is night splinting of the wrist which helps many patients at the onset of the problem. Cortisone injections are sometimes used and the definitive treatment is surgery.
